Jeff and Kay Schafer opened the salon in March of this year in Towne
Center to make the process of getting a child's hair cut an enjoyable

designed chairs for the kids to sit in and constantly play
family-friendly movies on flat screen televisions throughout the salon.
The custom-kiddie barber chairs allow the children to ride in cabs, fire
engines (with a bell), and even an airplane. Jeff elaborates that they
go beyond the normal children's hair salon by putting in the child's
favorite movie or blowing bubbles for them while they get their haircut
to make them more comfortable.
Kay is a Radiological Technologist at Woman's Hospital and Jeff manages
the day to day operations of the salon, making every visit exciting for
children and relaxing for parents. "We have a play room that has a Play
Station 2 with Guitar Hero and American Idol. Also in the play room, our
guests can color or play with the oversized building blocks. We also
have a Brio train table that all of the kids seem to love. After a child
gets his haircut we make sure that they do not forget to get their
treasure out of our treasure chest," says Jeff.
Not only can you have your child's hair cut, they can also celebrate
their birthday in the salon. They offer Pretty Princess, Darling Diva,
Let's Luau, Ahoy Matey and Howdy Partner Parties. Let Pigtails &
Crewcuts plan your little one's next birthday in their party room
available for the perfect birthday gathering. At the parties, the guests
get to dress up in costumes and do crafts or get made-up as princesses,
divas, pirates or cowboys!

Shampoo, who can resist? Their in-store boutique features a wide array

haircuts for $16.95, no need to make an appointment. Both parent and
child may experience Pigtails & Crewcuts by having your hair cut and
styled along with your child. Also provided are up-dos as well as
different types of hair braiding and nail and toe polish for special
